Let’s have some moon magic fun today my dear, shall we?
Congratulations on finding your dream! Oh man, that's tough. (If still shaking your head, please go back to last chapter.)
Determination is the key to get us unstuck from whatever is going to be in the way.
Now that you're ready, we'd like to invite you to a magical voyage that I went on five years ago.
Ladies and gentleman, buckle the seatbelt, we're now traveling back to fall 2015, a rainy evening in Brooklyn, New York.
“Didn’t expect an hour wait on the first date. Too cold gotta go. Bye.” — Seen and blue-ticked. Seriously? I thought he'd be different.
Before tears burst out, few water drops fell on my cheeks. Unprepared rain. What’s more? God's mercy on me.
I looked around for a shelter. Nothing much but a random store with a bizarre name — Desert Island.
The doorbell rang to announce I made it before the rain got heavy. Otherwise, the next day headliner could be ‘a girl froze to death from a no-show tinder date’. (Alright, enough negativity.)
On the bright side, the interior's cute.
Suddenly a splash of translucent light came into sight. It's from the stones behind blue poppies as I gazed back.
Its magnificent presence enchanted me. Perhaps magic truly existed, no?
A note next to it wrote:
“Got a question? Hold it in your hand with the stone, close your eyes, and pick a number between 1 to 10.”
Now, Moongirls, if you've moonstones or our moonstone jewelry with you, that's perfect to proceed. Or else using the above picture would work too.
Then follow these simple 3 steps:
Think of a question
Hold the moonstone
Pick a number from 1 to 10
(Can’t decide? Try roll die.)

#1. "I like the night. Without the dark, we'd never see the stars." ― Stephenie Meyer, Twilight
We've all watched Twilight (or heard of it). But do you know how the Author Stephenie got the idea?
It literally came to her in a dream one night; when she was close to losing herself in full-time motherhood.
So she acted and manifested the dream in reality.
It's always the darkest before the dawn. Hold on a little longer, light is on the way!
#2. "Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart." — Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs was being bullied, dropped out of college, and fired by Apple. No matter how many obstacles, he still managed to change the world.
Because he followed his heart to take each experience as a chance to grow.
From time to time his intuition worked better and better with the opposing reality.
Remember, we must learn something as long as our heart is open. Good or bad, it’s up to us.
#3. "It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves." — William ShakespeareShakespeare is a romantic giant in literary history. Little did we know he also wrote about self-love.
He described the act of neglecting one’s needs is a sin. It's our destiny and we have to hold it ourselves.
#4. "Faith is taking the first step even when you can't see the whole staircase." — Martin Luther King Jr.
Martin Luther King thrived on faith to advocate for justice from beginning to end.
If we still have to protest for BLM today, can you imagine how difficult it was to lead the civil rights movement in the 50s?
Despite the power not on his side, he took the leap of faith for the future generation. So that we can have civilization as basic right today.
Always have faith in what moves your heart and soul.
#5."When stars collide like you and I, No shadows block the sun." — Elton John
“You and I” as the one is the ultimate love that everyone craves. Just the idea of finding him or her one day keeps us going.
When two hearts collide, that love is as strong as sunlight, so bright that no room for the shadow to creep in.
Trust in the process and the day will come. Maybe today, or next week, who knows?
#6. "Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time." — Maya Angelou
Maya is an American poet and civil rights activist who has a tough childhood.
She faced not only racism but also sexual assaults from her mum’s boyfriend since 8 years old. Instead of feeling a victim, she chooses to help others by speaking out about her personal experience.
Trust one more time and always one more time.
#7. "Believe in your infinite potential. Your only limitations are those you set upon yourself." — Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
Roy is a self-taught positive thought leader who inspires many. He writes to help people overcome limitations for a successful life that is truly fulfilling.
One that makes us feel alive and energized.
In the world of possible, try everything so you can find out what truly makes you happy.
#8. "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. " — John Lennon
John wrote Imagine with his wife Yoko Ono. This lyrics echoes what she wrote in her book Grapefruit: 'A dream you dream alone may be a dream, but a dream two people dream together is a reality.'
Be brave and speak your truth. You'll be surprised by the many out there who share the same dream.
Don’t leave your fellows behind. Stay on the path and make it a reality.
#9. "Tetris taught me that when you try to fit in, you'll disappear." — Bill Murray
The goal of the game is to fit as many sharped pieces as possible until they all disappear. In real life when people compromise themselves they soon become invisible.
How not to lose oneself? The 2 times Emmy Award winner Bill Murray’s random life is an answer.
He does not have a fixed address; bartend to only serve tequila and crash on people’s group pictures often.
Nonsense but it works for him. Why would anyone live their life just to make sense for the others?
#10. "It is never too late or too soon. It is when it is supposed to be." — Mitch Albom, The Time Keeper
Mitch is the writer of the classic book Tuesday with Morrie.
In fact, he didn’t plan to be a writer but a musician. And he worked very hard to become one after some years. After reaching his goal, he soon discovered a new passion in journalism and pursued a writing career all over again from zero.
Today his books are on the reading lists of many schools worldwide.
So it really is never too late or too soon. Just the right thing comes at the right time.
